Junior Leader Program

Camp participants have the opportunity to apply to become a Junior Leader after completing our camps, typically during the grade 8–9 transition summer. Selected Junior Leaders work alongside our experienced instructors and can complete the 40 hours of community service required for their OSSD.

This program gives young leaders the chance to develop and practice key leadership skills, including:

• Effective communication and collaboration

• Positive conflict resolution

• Mentoring younger campers through encouragement and active engagement

• Organizing groups into teams, giving game instructions, and supervising activities

Each year, graduating JSA campers will be contacted with the opportunity to apply for the Junior Leader Program.
