Founded in 2013, the Komoka Summer Sports Academy was created with one mission: to develop the total athlete. Our full-day hockey and sports programs are designed to foster growth in both physical and mental skills, setting the foundation for lifelong activity and achievement.
The academy is proudly family-run by Greg and Karen Jenney, who have lived in the Kilworth/Komoka area since 2003, raising three boys who were actively involved in community sports. With over 30 years of combined experience teaching high school Physical and Health Education and coaching athletes of all ages, Greg leads the on-ice components of our programs, while Karen oversees the off-ice activities.
We’re also proud to have two of our boys, Kearnan and Kailer, as part of the team. Both highly skilled athletes who have competed at a variety of high levels in multiple sports, Kearnan and Kailer bring invaluable leadership and energy to our camps. As role models for all our campers, they inspire and encourage the next generation to reach their full potential—both on and off the ice/field.
Since our inception, we’ve expanded our offerings to include Hockey-focused PD Day Camps, Position-Specific Camps, Pre-season Prep Camps, and a new Multi-Sport Camp, currently running at Komoka Community Centre. Each of our programs is designed to encourage personal growth in a fun, goal-oriented environment, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to enjoy physical activity for years to come.
At the heart of our academy is a commitment to promoting youth leadership, respect, and sportsmanship—values that extend well beyond the ice and field. Our goal is to help every camper build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and foster a love of sports that will last a lifetime.
